The Wedding

So yesterday we all got spiffed up and.... (Hold on, I think I just ate a piece of tin foil.... k. anyways.) And we went to my cousin's wedding. We took two cars, and I rode with Tommy and Mike. =] That was (needless to say) fun and exciting.... When he says "Hold on", you know it's gonna be a fun time! hahaha. So we went to the wedding. It was catholic, so longish with all sorts of responses that we didn't know. It would have been pretty nice though, if I could of heard what the priest was saying. So I horb-gorbled and imagined how my own wedding might go. haha. That was fun of course, but there was the minor problem of not knowing who the groom was.... ha. What I HAVE decided, though, that Mike and Kaytlin have to have cute kidlings to be ring bearers and flowergirls in my wedding. mmmhmm. =] And that the flowers will be PURPLE. Mainly Iris, because that's my favorite flower. Yeah.

The reception. Um. Was spiffy. But it was a long time until food. So every couple minutes I was like, "Je veux manger! Je veux manger!" Only Mike understood, I think, because he and I each know more french than anybody else in the family put together. ha. So we can talk a bit without anybody else understanding. ;]

mmmmm yeah then dancing then stuff and whooot and yayness and ummmmm.
Kaytlin and Mike and I left early (Although not as early as Tommy, hahaha) and went home and got in comfy clothes and then snuggled on the couch and watched Will and Grace which was funny. and then i had pudding. the end.

some people....

are weird. because they like facials.

my mother. has poked. and pinched. and squeezed my face until i was ready to cry.  now i have a scary green mask on. it hurts too. aaaand i really can't move my face. overall this experience has not made me feel relaxed or refreshed. it has made me quite disgruntled and irascible.

rawr.

Jin Rummy.

my grandmother is kicking my butt.
the score when we stopped for a break: 220 to 379, her favor.

ouch.

mmmm wow. scary.

i had the weirdest dreams last night. they were slightly... um, traumatic.

the first one involved a fire onstage and parker being nice for helping me find my converse shoes before they burned up but then being an idiot and saying he started the fire even though he didn't. weird. and then Quinn and Nadine were like, "mmmmk whatever..."
and then i was on a bus and they expected us to know french the first day but chinese the second, and they wouldn't let you off at your stop until you answered a really hard question. it was brutal.

the second one... well. it was worse. kinda maximum ride-ish, except nobody had cool wings or abilities. i was in a lab complex, and then got put into a huge jungle-gym park-type place that had kids from 18 years old to toddler-aged. parker was there, as were a bunch of kids from school, and i was very much trying to explain that we were trapped there in a secret scientific lab complex, kidnapped so that they could preform illegal genetic experiments on us, but he wasn't really paying attention. so i kept trying to tell people what danger they were in so we could organize and possibly fight back or escape, but no one would listen to me or take me seriously!  then these adults came with these things in between tranquilizer guns and tazers.... and i was TRYING to get everybody to hide, but most people weren't. idiots. the perimeter was enclosed by a relatively low fence, but no one tried to escape because they knew they'd be shot or worse. after the fence there was like gravel roads and stuff, and trees. and aways away there was this pit that you couldn't see inside, but i think there was a dinosaur-like monster inside. that's what it sounded like, anyways. sooo then this director lady came and this one person, i don't remember who, was put into this box type thing, and when the lid opened, he was all divided up into body parts. and the lady would pick up the pieces and hold them up and say, "now what's this?" and it was big and i knew the shape so i'm like "i know, that's the liver!" and she said "yes it is!" and then threw it into the monster cage for it to eat! and she went through piece by piece and then one kid, who was like three years old, was too close to the fence so she threw him in too. and then an infant.

and that's about all that i care to remember. ick. i'm kinda traumatized and spacey and not all here. blehhh....

June 26, 2008

i don't feel like blogging right now.

i'm still jetlagged. veeeerrry tired, pretty much all the time.

i'm rebelling against capitalization.

grandma and grandpa are here from texas, and that's pretty bomb. =]

i'm wearing a japanese kimono-type thing right now. it's pretty awesome, all i need to do is find an obi that matches...

i've been told by two doctors that i NEED to spend time in the sun every single day, for more vitamin D or something. Mom too.

i still haven't figured out exactly what i'm wearing for the wedding on saturday - no, emily, i have not found a purple dress, although if i had one then i would definitely wear it whether it clashed with my hair or not. (and i'm thinking NOT)

i'm listening to my buddy Parker's acoustic stuff. it's nice. "there's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home, how do i get there, how do i get therrrreeee. can you help me find my way back to where i belong? can you help me find the waaaaaayyy? can you help me find my way back hoooommmme...." lalalala.

i made banana chocolate-chip muffins with my sister today. :]

i'm in a bad mood because i should be swing dancing with my friends right now but i'm not. but i'm not gonna whine about the fact that i've been home almost a week and have seen barely any of my friends, right? xP mmhmm. yeah. *dies*

well. i suppose i'll go to bed, since there's not much of anything i feel like reporting. goodnight, peoples. hope you sleep better than i probably will.

June 25, 2008

I got a haircut. x3

I liiiiiike it. =] it's short. and red. and awesome-sauce. qwoot.... <3

June 23, 2008

I'MMM HOOOOOMME!!!!!!!

YES! I AM FINALLY HOME IN MINNESOTA! YEAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! *jumps around*

Although, I'm not gonna lie, it's pretty surreal. Like it's too good to be true or something, I've looking forward to this for so long! I mean, I've had some pretty realistic dreams, and sometimes I'm afraid that I'm gonna wake up and be in Belgium... But thank goodness I AM awake. Although with the jetlag making me so tired I'm not completely so! Haha.

I get to see Rachel and Laura (MY BFFS!!) today, for the first time in like 6 months! I'M SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!! AND we're going to go shopping, because I need a dress for my Cousin's wedding. =] I hope we find a PURPLE one. Yay.

Also exciting - My grandparents are driving up from Texas and will be here tonight!!

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX Marissa

PS
Yes, I DO miss a few peoples in Belgium. Especially that one person who's currently in Belgium but will soon be moving to Singapore.... =[

June 21, 2008

On the way home!

Hey All! GUESS WHAT. I’m writing this from the airport in Newark, New Jersey! Yay internets! =] I CAN’T WAIT TO GET HOME! YESSSSSS!

ONLY TWO HOURS HOURS PLANE RIDE PLUS  DRIVING TIME PLUS THE REST OF THE LAYOVER TIME AND THEN I'LL BE HOOOOMMMMME!!!! YEAH.

two purple Q's.... <3

June 20, 2008

lalala...

i like Coldplay. i really must remember to put them on mon ipod before we leave.

hmmmm. i'm cool. and pretty much packed, which is good because we just found out that we're leaving at 7am tomorrow, not 9am. yuppers.

this morning my pj pants ripped... well, more like disintegrated. it was pretty funny. i laughed, like this: mmmaahahahahahaaaaaharharharrr. =]

Kaytlin says i need to make more sense in my blog posts, like finish my sentences more often. this made me laugh also. but i'll try, just so it's easier to read. i don't exactly understand the trouble myself - i can read it and it makes perfect sense! but whatever, i have a different sort of brain. a rather ADHD brain. haha.

Tomorrow! Tomorrow! It's only a day away...

i have 10 minutes to write this, then i gotta get to woooork. like packing and such. harharhardyhaaaaa. it was my brother's birthday yesterday! he turned 21. wowzers, he's OLD. (haha, just kidding!) anywho. THURSDAY i am really really hoping to go SWING DANCING!!! since i haven't really been able to for the last almost 6 months! and it's one of my favorite things to do, so. yeah. EXCITING! i am really rather excited to be coming hooommmmeeee. but i'm not exactly looking forward to the plane ride, or jet lag. jet lag SUCKS, and i was trying to start getting myself pre-adjusted by staying up late and sleeping in, but mom wouldn't let me for some odd reason that i still do not understand. blargh. anywaysss. skyppppeeeeeeee is a fun word to draw out. i like drawing words out, as you've probably noticed. =] i like tacos too. but this tea is not sweet enough, so it's ickyyy. rawr. mk, mummy says i gotta get to work nowww. =[ byee, more laterzzzz.

June 19, 2008

Raaaaawwwrrrrrrrrr.

i despise packing.

and when facebook is being a turd and not letting me upload my photos en masse. hahahaha... i have 200 from the past week and a half. But facebook or my computer is being RETARDED. k. enough about that.

the sun is shining brightly outside the window.... which is strange, considering that it's been cloudy and rainy all day. Thats Belgium for ya.

hmmmm i think i'm gonna go eat a taco..... bye! <3

So now school's officially ended.

And I'm being emo. Why? Well, it's certainly NOT because i enjoy exams or homework or anything like that! it's because i had to say goodbye to Stephanie today. Possibly for good. this makes me feel... well, let me put it to you this way: if you looked in the dictionary under 'melancholy', you'd see my picture. ok, not really, but i'm pretty bummed. at least with all you peeps in MN, you KNOW i'll see you again! (2 DAAAYYYSSSSS!!! YEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!)

I took a couple fuuuuuun pictures today, and i'll post one here. =] this is James, me, and Parker... you know, this would actually be a cool band photo if we were all in a band together! Ha, i just have to learn to play the drums i guess... ha... and yes, they knew the picture was being taken. LOL. ( Hey, i just noticed that in this picture it kinda looks like James has glasses... weird....)

June 18, 2008

Yaaaaaayyyyyy commeeennnnntttzzzzzzz :D

lalala YAY. k. so that grading is slightly weird... but. not very complicated i guess.

7+ = absolutely perfect
7 = A
6 = B
etc.

3 = lowest passing grade

5+ =  a pretty good average grade

mmhmm.  'Next' is a movie with Nicolas Cage, and it was pretty good. =] aaaand it's interesting because in the french/belgian school, if you fail one class/exam, you have to repeat the year. thus, interestingly enough, there's a couple 17 and 18 year olds in my grade here.

yesterday Ailya and Therese and I kinda surprised Stef with like a little going-away thing; we watched The Princess Bride, and Ailya had baked like a bunch of coookies =] and yummy stuff. yayness. they were de-lish. hmm.... it occurs to me that i have to leave the house for the bus in about 5 minutes, and i'm really not ready. HAHAHAHAHAHA. that figures, doesn't it? go me, way to get distracted... k. ttfn, ta ta for now!

June 16, 2008

bell 2

7th graders are noisy... wow. mhhmm. anyways. I'M DOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNEEEEE WITH EXXXXXXAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sprock yeah. erm so letssee....... geography went just ok, and FRENCH was easier than i expected; i got a FIVE! and what else? oh, like a 7 in writing skillz. 5+ or 6 on my english exam. i didn't fail maths or biology either! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOPEEEEEEEEEE. ermmmmmmm yeah, more laterz.

Bell

Hey bloggers! This is Stef, Marissa's friend. And she's sleeping over at my house! And we're watching 'Next' and it's getting interestingish. And it's blurry and fuzzy and pixelated. AND my sister had a party. AKA there's a lot of noise.

And bell. Marissa is going to Minnesota on Saturday.

FINAL EXAMS: teacher's attempt to make students commit suicide.

[currently listening to: coldplay]

i had a panic attack during my bio exam... because i couldn't remember what phloem and xylem were, or the function of LH, FSH, and oestrogen during the menstruation cycle.

i hate panic attacks.

and now i'm gonna study for my GEOGRAPHY EXAM. oh joy.

PS
actually, i went and uploading (and still am uploading) pictures from switzerland to facebook...

June 11, 2008

ewwwwwww...

hahahahaha biology.... mk, so i just wanted to say that came up with the coolest new thing:

Elephang.

i lied.

i didn't actually go study for my bio exam. and i'm STILL not studying, actually.... right now i don't really care much about it. unfortunately, i know that i will feel very different tomorrow morning when i haven't studied... so i suppose i should make myself study now.

*tries*

....

*fails*

mkay, retardedness. I really rather dislike not being able to focus... Oooo look! MY BROTHER GOT A FACEBOOK! heh, this amuses me... oooo, he got a motorcycle! he is DEFINITELY gonna have to take me for a ride on it! =] haha, so it's kinda funny how for like the first time ver, my brother and i actually have similar tastes in music! he also likes anberlin and underoath and... hmm, what else again? idk. i listened to some emarosa today and they were good....

*plays with PURPLE GUITAR PICKS* <3333333

GAH! Come ON, marissa, FOCUS! biology! homeostasis! blood glucose regulation! etc! oh joy, we get to study reproduction and excretion too... oh no. diagrams!? *dies*

lalalalala.... PURPLE GUITAR PICKS!!!! <3

mmmk, so i forgot to say thanks for the comments. ;]
they make me feel loooooved.

rawr, k i'm gonna go study for my bio exam now.... bleck...

Day three of exam week....

Agh. ok, i'll start at the beginning of the week....
[currently listening to: underoath<3]

Monday. was special. i had two exams, right? english and religion. my english exam was two and a half hours long, and then i had an extra 30 minutes because of the whole ADHD thing. ha. yeah, so there's three parts to the exam, right? the poetry analysis, the general essay, and the creative writing. well, i spent well over an hour of the poetry analysis, which turned out really nicely i must say- but then of course, that didn't leave much time for the rest of my exam. the general essay topic i was most prepared for happened to be the one that wasn't on there, and since i was short on time i didn't get to cover every point that i wanted to. and then i only had about 15 minutes to write my creative writing piece, which turned out to be 'write a dialogue between two characters from different stories we have studied this year'. so i only had time to write like, half a page. it was Beowulf and Napoleon from Animal Farm. Beowulf killed him and then made him into a bacon sandwich, hahahahahahahahahahaha....

mmhmm. by then my hand was already killing me. THEN I had religion, and that was retarded of course, but i think i did pretty well.

on tuesday i had health, which was an hour and a half exam with 22 and 1/2 extra minutes for us 'extra timers'. it was ALL multiple choice though... finished it in less than 30 minutes. HAHAHAHAHAHA. that figures, doesn't it? Wow. yeah. so that i went over it again, and filled in all the little bubbles PERFECTLY, and you know it was really bugging me that in some columns there were no 'a' answers or when it was really uneven... rawr! it was driving me nuts! lol. OCD-ness. And then i wrote out all the lyrics to 'a boy brushed red living in black and white' by underoath, yes including the screaming! ;] that took awhile. haha. then i started making a crossword puzzle on graph paper; it's gonna be for Stef, to do on the plan to singapore... =[ *sob* sure there's only 10 more days until i come home (*SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!*), but that also means only 10 more days with steffy! *bawls eyes out* GRRRRRRRR. I don't want her to move! =[ Hannah is moving too... rawr. stupidness. k. anyways. after my health exam, i had lunch with johnna and then went home and did my excellent vegetable impression. and watched stargate! =] Teal'c is my hero... haha. <3

[Now listening to: haste the day]

Then. TODAY. (wednesday)
i had my math exam at 1pm, but of course went to school at the normal time on the bus. =P but anyways. I REALLY meant to study for my geometry test! but.... i fell asleep. on C-level, which is not the quietest place. hmmm. so there went studying, not that i had been getting much of anywhere anyways... as for my test, i really don't want to talk about it, except to say that i totally put '42' for every answer that i didn't know and had no hope of guessing. 8] oh yeah. because i'm fly like that.... lol. k.

oh, and i have james' two purple guitar picks held hostage. they were a great comfort to fidget with during my test. <3

much love,
marissa

PS
i uploaded some more photografias to el facebook....

June 8, 2008

rawr.

i am being quite UNproductive. this is not acceptable.

... you know what else is unacceptable? the lack of comments. >P
golly gosh, peeps.

hmmmmm EXAM PREP.

let's examine the word 'exam', shall we?
it's got a nice combination of letters, and uses a rarely-used letter, 'x', so that makes it pretty cool. it's aesthetically pleasing. and the connotation that the year is almost over is very exciting, right? but the actual noun-thing, the actual test you take, is not so happy. which is why i'm rather stressed at the moment. i have two exams tomorrow, and both of them are pretty much all ESSAYS.

Photobucket honestly, my hand is gonna DIE. i'm a slow writer, ok? and i'm gonna be writing for HOURS straight tomorrow... and then there's the content. I finished analyzing that stupid poem, so that's half of my english exam prep. Not that I actually feel ready! stef just texted me and said she already wrote her essay/analysis and she's just gonna memorize it. it's not a bad idea, except for that i'm awful at memorizing things! hm. ADHD. hahaha.

not to mention i'm awful at writing essays. i'm just too concise, and then i run out of things to say after writing half a page! it's absurd!

June 7, 2008

Music

mkay. i'm still procrastinating. i finished abut half of my english exam prep and have a few more hours to do the rest, although it shouldn't take long if i'm productive. but then again, when am i ever productive? ha. so recently i heard about 7 songs by Eisley. and i REALLY like them! qwoot.

(qwoot = woot except better, 'cause it has a Q!)

mmm so i decided to list some of my all-time favorite songs. just for fun. since i REALLY don't feel like working on english or religion right now! lol. rawr. ok. these aren't really in any particular order, but the bolded ones are special favs.

and that's all i can think of for now. lolz. no one can ever say that i have a narrow taste in music! hhahahahahahahahahaha....

What I learned in Mr. Brown's class:

"People plus food equals babies."

procrastination nation!

Some things you may or may not know about me:

I drink a lot of water when I'm studying - like, A LOT. Almost an unhealthy amount.

If I had been a boy, I probably would have been named Timothy or Bradley

I like the way my hair looks when it's kinda in my face but can't stand the way it feels.

I REALLY dislike Edgar Allen Poe.

I never know what to write in yearbooks!

Being somewhat of a grammar nazi (although I'm not as bad as I used to be) in an international school is rather torturous.

I really like the sound of Scandinavian languages.

I like listening to movie scores, but if it's a movie that I know well it distracts me because I'll start imagining the movie...

My favorite hair colour that I've had is auburn/deep red.

I'm obsessed with the colour purple and the letter 'Q'.

That glowy macbook screen-saver distracts me highly. I could probably watch it for hours...

I wish I was in 3rd grade, because life was so much simpler back then.

I LOVE YOU!

My favorite insults are currently 'dingbat' and 'doorknob'.

I MIGHT be strong, but I won't think so until I can do a proper hand-stand push-up!

I know all the words to Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen

If I had to change my name because of being in like, the witness protection program or something, it would be to 'Hope', 'Marie', or 'Lee'.

Three of my absolute favorite colour combinations are:
deep rose, sunflower yellow,  lime green
bright violet purple, sunflower yellow, slightly aqua sky blue
 bright orange, navy blue, teal/turquoise

...mkay i'm gonna get back to work now! lol.

June 5, 2008

LalallamapurplerubberrulerdonutoasispoodleDOORKNOB.

i'm feeling rather ADHD at the moment, hence me writing this instead of working on my large world lit. project that is due tomorrow. And that i've barely started. whoopee.

rawr. so. ummmmmmmmmmmmmm. GAH.

MUST. GET. TO. WORK!

...where's my anti-stress kit!? *goes to find bubble wrap* POP POP POP! oh my. how wonderful are the wonders of bubble wrap... and sugar. hmmm.

June 3, 2008

goodnight....

k. i'm done freaking out. (for now!)
and i feel like i've been productive tonight - i typed up two whole pages of bio notes, plus i helped stef with an english class thing for a half hour. i'll try and finish that dealio tomorrow during resource/break, and then that'll be awesome. hm... i need to figure out when i'm going to do my english lit project... ick! that's a headache i'm NOT gonna think about right now! ha.

sweet dreams. (sweeter than mine night before last, hopefully! rawr... school shootings do not make very nice dreams, i just gotta say. TRAUMA MUCH! i got shot in the lung...)

i'm perfectly calm, what are you talking about?

Today was pretty good, except for math. *panics*
I'm really scared for my math exam. Well, actually.....
hm, so I'm typing up my biology study notes right now. Which is about 10 million times more productive than i've ever been studying for exams, haha. ok, not ten million. but you get the idea.
and, as i'm typing up these notes, i'm realizing that this topis was from four months ago and i don't remember any of it! Ok, just to give you a bit of an idea of the magnitude of what I need to study and thus why i'm freaking out so much about next week. OMG NEXT WEEEEEEEEEK! (I'll go in order of what order i have the exams in)

MONDAY ---> ENGLISH:
40% - Poetry analysis of a pre-set poem. (It's by emily dickinson. and has no title. and is gonna be a beast to write an essay about.)
40% - General essay on texts and films studied in the course of the year. I have to answer one question out of five, which will be one of the following. I need to prepare for at least two of these as there will only be four to choose from on the exam.
  • change - how people change, develop, discover
  • politics and society - story as a way of making political or social comments
  • marriage and battle of the sexes - how the relationships between men and women are explored
  • playing with words - how writers have explored and played with language in their works
  • heroes and villains - how the writers have explored the characters of heroes and villains
i must use at least two of the works we studied this year for my answer, with examples and quotations to back up my argument. unfortunately, i was only here for 4 of the 14 works, so my choices are somewhat limited...

20% - a short piece of creative writing

And that's my english exam.
RELIGION:
the exam is 24 questions that all require deep, wordy, and LONG answers. like 'does feminism have anything to do with ecology' and 'what is anthropocentrism'. rawr.

TUESDAY ---> HEALTH:
We're covering muscles, fitness, HIV/AIDS, and first aid. but it's A LOT of material! I actually had my first aid practical exam today - i had to save a choking baby and an unconscious child who wasn't breathing and had no pulse. i passed though, so it's all good... i was really nervous though!

WEDNESDAY ---> GEOMETRY
....don't even talk to me about geometry. oh. my. goodness.

THURSDAY---> BIOLOGY
we're covering:
  • transport in plants
  • transport in humans
  • homeostasis
  • air pollution
  • reproduction
  • digestion
  • genetics
  • endocrine system
  • excretion
but like there's A LOT of information to memorize. rawr.

FRIDAY ---> GEOGRAPHY:
  • map projections, 4/6 grid references
  • rivers - flooding management/use, erosion, deposition, hydrographs
  • glaciers - types, components, land forms, erratics
  • coasts - hard/soft approaches (that's what SHE said!)
  • population - 'timebombs', demographic transition model
  • migration - pull/push factors
  • employment sectors
  • settlement - urban growth
  • ecosystems - energy flows
  • farming - processes
13 freaking pages of this to memorize. oh wow. nooooooo, i'm not STRESSED!

MONDAY ---> FRENCH
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

June 2, 2008

durrrrrrrrrr MONDAYS. More like 'Mon daze'.....

Hahahahardyharhar. I'm printing GEOGRAPHY notes right now.... 13 pages of study notes.... ick. and the printer doesn't print double sided so i'm printing out half of the pages then flipping them over and putting them back in to print of the other side. Oh, the things I do for TREES. Lolz. And Stef, if you're reading this, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

ooooooops i put a page in the wrong way. hahaha. it looks funny now, like two pages on the same page... haha ok i'm tired. i had a terrible time getting to sleep again last night, i didn't fall asleep until probably 12:30 or so... (the printer is making funny noises....) and then i had a very traumatizing dream about somebody coming and shooting everybody at school. I got shot in the lung. It was painful. And then when I woke up it was 5ish and my blanket was constricting me.

ha. and I want a pet snake...

anywho. we had our last dance class today. (*Le SOB*) Aaaaannnd it was very warm. yay for thunderstorms! mmmm i should go to bed. mmhmm. yeah. fo sure. hahahaha.
how about some QUOTES before i go? lol. enjoy.

"You're so icey and warm..." - Stef while on the phone with me

"She's not sick, she has an infection!" - Amanda in geography

Pastor Ron: "There is two words in the English language..."
Stef: "He said there is instead of there are!"
Katie: *thinking* "Right..."
Pastor Ron: *2 minutes later* "There's a song many cultures sing at Christmas. Joy to the world, the Lord is come. Let earth reveal his king."
Stef: *opens mouth* "He said...reveal his king!"
Katie: "Oh. Stef."
Stef: "What? It's receive!"

lol. grammar nazis are hilarious. except it's really not fair to do it in an international school, because there are more than a few people that English is NOT their first language. or even second or third, for some. I know kids in my grade who know FIVE languages FLUENTLY. isn't that CRAZY???????? rawr, speaking of languages... je n'aime pas parle francais. c'est tres difficile pour moi. je ne savoir pas pourquoi! xP

June 1, 2008

Weeeeeeekeeeeennnnddddd....

Urhm. I hate typing with bracelets on.
Friday = whatev. School. Last 'B' week of the year.  Woot.  (Or Qwoot, rather.)

Saturdayyyyyy.... slept in until like, NOON. I was really really tired!
Then diddled around. Aaandd then decided it was time to leave for ultimate frisbee. Then it took like, 20 minutes to find my keys which I finally found on my window sill, in plain sight. (Mom and Dad were in Germany picking up the latest in a long line of rental cars) And to I walked down to the Churchill tram stop AND GOT ON THE TRAM!!! BY MYSELF!! FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE!! IT WAS SUPER SCARY!! Then I almost missed my stop, but got off just in time. Met Parker and James there, and then we walked to the park, but we didn't get to play frisbee because by the time we got there (my bad!) it was time to leave to a rehearsal thing in Waterloo that Parker and James had for MCJ's youth sunday... I went along because I was riding with them to the pub quiz after, so I sat around and started reading 'I Am Legend' while they practiced. I got to chapter 10 and then we drove back to Brussels to an Irish pub where there was a quiz thing to raise money for Serve the City. Our team (Parker, James, Tim, another kid and me) did not do that great, but it was still fun. Qwoot.

It took me forever to fall asleep last night, and waking up this morning was painful at best. Rawr.

School this week- Hm. Well. Apart from an English project, no homework at all. Almost every class is revision or a study period. It's absurd. And kinda boring. Man, summer can't come soon enough.... 20 MORE DAYS UNTIL MINNESOTA!

I keep thinking that I see people I know - Like today at church I saw somebody who, from the back, I could have sworn was Joey Churchill! But then he turned around at it wasn't and I was like 'awwww....' because of course it makes me miss them all the more. And this happens all the time - random people from school and stuff, and then I get really excited even though I know there's no way they would/could be here in Belgium. It's retarded.

Toodles.
